The Past two months have indeed been a happening time for Limopalm. A series of events occurred which includes selective ones like my guest lecture at Maldives National University representing Limopalm, Majlis Watch launching and moving into a brand new & better office.
We talk about our country’s economy & its growth day by day and yet avoid those little things that we could easily do to determine a large progress in the future. Still, the concept of making the rich richer is much favored, destroying the anticipations of budding entrepreneurs. It is still extremely challenging for young and new entrepreneurs to overcome the barriers ousting their growth. The theory of Small Businesses being the backbone of every economy is widely accepted, yet less appreciated. Due to too much leniency or too many obstacles, most of the small businesses face their breaks.
It is the fourth year since we have been putting our varieties of creativity to the digital world as a leading web design agency in Maldives. Today we have achieved recognition as a leading and experienced digital design agency through out the market & completed successful projects with a portfolio of satisfied and happy clients.
Today, after many observations, I have finally decided to jot down my views about the industry, its growth and how we could actually make “Digital Design” a successful industry in Maldives. Being freelancers or agencies, there comes several points in our career that we need to specialize our products and services to niche markets, depending on the demand.
We need Responsive, not just Native! The buzz about mobile devices outnumbering desktop devices is high over the Internet. We have been hearing it for days, and I believe that it would happen so. My say is not against Native or mobile devices, its about making applications responsive and how desktop will still prevail to hold a large amount of the time we spend for computing.

Before starting ahead, Ramadan Mubarak to everyone out there!
Being a predominantly Muslim country, through out the history, Ramadan has been renowned as an exceptional period for all Maldivians. Whether it is Government or Private, all businesses and organizations reduce their working hours for the ease of the entire community. With the change of the meal times, everything changes here together with it. Thus, preplanning for Ramadan is common in all areas of life in Maldives. We, being dedicated Limopalmians planned our entire Ramadan in such a way that none of our work hours or projects would be effected.
All our mobile devices are Android except the iPad & Macs, ofcourse! Since Instagram have been released to Android the hype over here is enticing. Whenever we sight something interesting, it would be in Instagram in no time. Recently, we realized that these random stills are important aspects of Limopalm as they have become great memories of us which we could look back any time and smile. Almost in every website you can find a hint of JavaScript codes these days. First of all, what is JavaScript? JavaScript is a prototype based scripting language supporting object-oriented, imperative and functional programming styles. It provides enhanced user interface and dynamic websites. JavaScript not only provides you a great functionality and flexible environment in client section but also makes your apps faster and user friendly.
First of all, I would like to highlight that this post, is not in anyway related to any political affiliation and Limopalm is not affiliated with any political party or personality. We have Limopalmians with different political opinions, yet we respect each other’s stand, which does not affect in anyway to how we work, what we work on and our teamwork.
Within the past year, we have seen various political uprisings, from which the Arab Spring, London riots and Russian election riots are all noteworthy. If you have been active in Twitter or Facebook, I am sure you would have been better and more frequently updated by the social networks about these events than the International Media. We have all seen movements such as Occupy Wall Street and Arab spring on twitter, uniting people miles apart to fight together for one cause. It helped the word spread quickly, keeping every single follower tuned of what’s going on with various hashtags on Twitter & dedicated pages & groups on Facebook.
It has only been a few weeks since I have written our last post about three years of coding & designing. Since than team spirit have been at its peak within our team and a new team member Inash Zubair has joined us as a Programmer. Inash, commonly known as Inn is not a new face within our industry in Maldives. His experiences and service to the tech industry dates back to more than a decade. We also had a small gathering celebrating 3 Years of Limopalm after the last tech meetup held at Limopalm. Together with the joining of Inn, the hype of upcoming events & the growing pace of Limopalm, we got together several times to discuss on building us within the industry.
