Maldivians, Why You Should Have a Blog

Whether you are a businessperson, a politician, an educator or anyone from any profession, a blog is an integral part of your career. You might not believe this since you haven’t experienced it… But!… Ask the Experts They will say so. I am just a Web Strategist with a handful of knowledge about Marketing, but to be frank, I really have researched a lot about Blogging and other Web Stuff. What I have learned from my experience is that Blogging really does help for either companies or individuals.

A Blog is the best way to express your ideas, thoughts and views in detail and over a billion people will be able to see it. So it does give a huge EXPOSURE!.. But even for the exposure, you need to do a bit of marketing both offline and online via Facebook, Twitter, E-mails, Business Cards or even SMS. According to SEOMOZ (http://seomoz.org) Blogging forces you to succinctly, accurately describe your point.

Blogging is an eminent tool for socialization. You might be using Twitter & Facebook on a regular basis, which are obviously important tools for socialization, BUT you might not be able to attain the same amount of attention & admiration that you receive from blogging. Through, your blog you are filling up your own space instead of others news feed and only people who are interested in what you say explores it. It demonstrates true commitment and passion to your industry and if you are able to sustain over long periods you will be rewarded in spades and will be able to stand out from the crowd.

Growth of Internet users in Maldives is extensive. According to the public data issued by Google, Internet users in Maldives had risen from 20,000 in 2005 to over 70,000 in 2008. The trending growth of technology in Maldives gives all of us a good opportunity to include an online presence of ourselves successfully. Blogging to build up your brand or personal recognition is excellent to initiate especially during the stage of immense growth.

If you are building up your brand, business or profession, blogging helps you to reflect your true dedication. Regular blogging and updates from your website will help to create a more trustworthy relationship between you and your prospects prior to project initiation.

We have been in the Web Design industry of Maldives for almost two years and it hasn’t even been two weeks since we initiated our own blog. Honestly, the amount of exposure and optimistic feedback we received within these two weeks are quite high compared to what we received before. This is the true power of blogging! Maldivian Bloggers, both in the web development industry and other fields, inspired us.
